I find thrill scrambling boulders to reach a summit, I feel excitement navigating through dense wilderness, and I’m filled with wonder taking in the endless depths of a horizon. Life is about discovery, taking chances and sharing in experiences. I have created this platform to share my knowledge and story with you; we live on one incredible planet, and I hope to inspire you.

A bit about me…

I made the move to the United Kingdom in my early twenties. London seemed a good base for my first big overseas adventure; it being an English speaking country with a similar culture to Australia, with easy connections to Europe and throughout the United Kingdom. I began my travels with my boyfriend at the time; we landed in London, and made way for Europe to spend the summer. We hopped from city to coastline, passing through a range of countries; learning history through free walking tours, finding our way between monument and museum, climbing bell towers for the best views in town, walking cobble stoned streets and pebbly beaches and sampling spirits in both moods and glasses. It wasn’t until a few months on that I reflected on this European holiday, realising that, even though I loved the experience, it was far too fast paced for me, I didn’t stay in any country long enough to fully appreciate the richness of each culture, nor bask in the beauty of it. I had no choice but to learn from my experience and when the following summer came along, this time being a single traveller; I was keen to get it right. This time around, I explored fewer parts of Europe, but took my time to thoroughly explore the parts that took my fancy. I spent the majority of my time in Andalucia, Spain where I hiked the Sierras, explored quaint towns and cities, mixed with locals and fellow travellers, hooked into local produce, even spent a couple weeks living in the mountains with a hippie community.

Since this trip, I have never stopped expanding my knowledge of the world, learning about not only myself, but people that surround me, the places we inhabit and the places left to explore. As my journey continues, travels have become more adventure focused than monument focused; I look for unique experiences, vast expanses of wilderness, changing landscapes and environments, all which deepen my love for the world. I mix with locals to understand the area and its history, and to have people from all walks in life to share in the experience with. I welcome chaos, and alway leave room for spontaneity, because such is life, and change often leads to the most exciting part of the journey. I don’t often find the time to chill out, so when the moment calls for it (usually after climbing a mountain or before a long days work), I make it count, and what better place to do that than under the stars, or peak of a mountain.

It’s time for us all to take a deep breath, look around, and appreciate this beautiful world.
